Enable Ireland Kerry Child & Adolescent Services

Enable Ireland Kerry Child and Adolescence Services are committed to the development of child and family centred services. An interdisciplinary team bring together the skills and approach of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology, social work, early years educators and family support services. Working in partnership with parents and children the team work to identify the specific goals of each child.

Each programme is designed to maximise the unique potential of the each child.   Through assessment, implementation and evaluation of individualised programmes the team works to promote holistic child development. The specific and unique goals of each child are brought together in an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP). Once agreed these form the basis of each child and family’s service plan.

Families of children admitted to the Kerry service will be offered a Key Worker. The role of the Key Worker is to liase with the family, team members and other services, to facilitate information and access, and to coordinate the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings.

If the needs of the child cannot be best met by Enable Ireland Kerry Children’s Service, we will discuss this with parents and, where possible, refer their child to a more appropriate service
